(Can't really see the background because the scanner was unable to pick it up, but that isn't really the focus of the picture anyways, so meh)Now as for myself, the author of this picture, i personally never really liked this all together too well. For one thing, i had reduced to using the simpler version of the portrait (side) view of Tammy's face, because the "realistic" nose proved to be too hard to pull off at this current time and still make her cute. Also, I was really lazy with the coloring. Also if i had ever actually looked at a picture of a fox, i'd have known that they had white fur on the bottom of their jaws, like so:
(now this is cute)
(now this is cute)Why am i griping about this subject? well.... other than the fact that complaining is a very easy thing to do for me, and I really don't feel like writing something inspiring (not like i ever do, so i suppose the more appropriate way of putting it is "attempting to write something inspiring") at the moment. However, looking at it outside of my own personal views, and possibly what i perceive as the viewers, and instead look at it as -- an actual artist or critic, i could say that where this piece (my drawing not the picture of the fox) has value is in its simplicity. the very fact that i'd chosen to simplify her facial structure is proof of this. Yay for looking at the cup half full. (If you know me they are both the same thing. what one really needs to do is look at a full cup and see whether it is a limited quantity, or an ever refilling cup of the sweet nectar of life).
In simple words: I still don't like the drawing but i'll deal with it.
In addition people might wonder why i put quotes around the word artist. I do not feel like a true artist right now. in fact i have only taken the first step towards that path. however this is for another time. simply put, the first half will be to making a picture that i like, and the viewers like it as well. Then the second half is something--- more. (oooo mysterious~)
